Wisconsin Stopover Initiative
The Wisconsin Stopover Initiative (WISI) was launched in 2005 by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in order to identify and protect the places where migratory birds stop while traveling between breeding and wintering grounds – called stopover sites – in the western Great Lakes basins of Wisconsin.

Bird City Wisconsin
In March 2002, leading bird conservation organizations in Wisconsin created a cooperative partnership called the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative (WBCI), which is part of the National Bird Conservation Initiative. The goal of this coalition is to work in close coordination to deliver the full spectrum of bird conservation statewide, emphasizing voluntary stewardship.

Bellin Health Care Systems
Bellin Hospital – an acute care, 167-bed, multi-specialty hospital. Known as the region’s heart center, it was the first hospital in the area to offer a comprehensive heart program. On Broadway, Inc. is a Main Street Program that follows the five-point approach to revitalization that includes Design, Economic Restructuring, Marketing, Organization and Promotional Events. Each of these areas is overseen by a committee made up of volunteers from the community who meet once a month and work with staff, district businesses, and other volunteers to accomplish projects.

LNRP: Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership, Inc.
Actively working throughout the Lakeshore Basin since 2003, the Lakeshore Basin has 12 primary watersheds defined by the Niagara Escarpment, and with its many rivers, creeks and associated wetlands, are a primary focus of LNRP’s conservation activities.

The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission
The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission (Commission) was created in 1972 by Governor Lucey at the request of seven county boards in the region under Wisconsin Statutes s. 66.945 (re-titled 66.0309) as the official area-wide planning agency for northeastern Wisconsin.
